Practical Tips to avoid stroke

Stroke is one of a dangerous disease, because it can lead to paralysis and even death. The following are practical tips on avoiding stroke:
1. Blood Pressure Check In Routine. Research shows that the diligent control of blood pressure can reduce the 40% risk of stroke.
2. Get rid of Tobacco. The results of the study show that away from tobacco reduces the risk of stroke by 33%.
3. Neck Check. Ask your doctor to listen to swish around her neck. This is important if you have atherosclerosis, or hardening and thickening of blood vessels which causes clogging of blood flow.
4. Sports. Research shows that those who start exercising at age between 25-40 years, stroke risk decreased 57%. While who started exercising at age 40-55 years, 37% chance just better to avoid the stroke.
5. Vegetable and fruit consumption. Either is green or orange, just eat it! Too early to say that beta-carotene can prevent a stroke. But consumption of vegetables and green fruits every day is very good.
6. Potassium consumption. Research said that consume of potassium-rich foods daily may reduce the risk of stroke by 40%. Potatoes are a good source of potassium, in addition to avocados, eighth, bananas, salmon and tomatoes.
7. Reduce Fat. What is good for your heart, better for your brain. Maintain cholesterol levels that inhibit atherosclerosis and stroke. Eat fat, no more than 25% of caloric needs.
8. Stay away from alcohol. Indeed there is research that says that a certain amount, alcohol can prevent stroke and heart attacks. But it would be better if you do not consume alcohol because it was never clear measure of drinking.
